Benidorm: the new Las Vegas

Benidorm

Tourism chiefs plan to turn Spanish resort Benidorm into Europe's Las Vegas by allowing luxury hotels to open casinos.

The initiative was proposed by Hosbec Benidorm’s hotel association and so far has received support from Benidorm’s town hall.
The initiative hopes to attract wealthier tourists amid an increasing decline in visitor figures and tourist spending (Currently Benidorm tourists are spending an average 60 euros per day, well below Spain’s average of 100 euros).
It is important to do it as quickly as possible, as our future depends on attracting this type of tourist.
Benidorm attracts around 6 million tourists a year, out of which 1 million are from the United Kingdom.

Ferrari in Valencia

The President of the Valencia Generalitat, Francisco Camps, and the Mayor of Valencia, Rita Barberá, are in Italy today for a working meeting with Ferrari bosses. Under discussion is the Ferrari World Finals, to be held in the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia on November 27 and 28, as well as the possibility of the construction of a Ferrari theme park in Valencia.

Camps made a visit to Abu Dhabi, where Ferrari already has a theme park, last year, with the intention of increasing commercial relations.

The Ferrari World Finals will take place on the Ricardo Tormo Circuit at Cheste in Valencia towards the end of this month.
