Moraira beaches

Bureau Veritas Certification has proceeded to renew the certificates of quality management systems and environmental management were implemented during the summer of 2002 on the beaches and coves of Teulada Moraira, according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EMAS regulation.
This certification has been obtained after the completion of separate audits conducted at the end of last September in order to confirm that the management system meets all the requirements of the above standards and that the City has been able to achieve its objectives planned for the 2010 season, explained Councillor for Environment and Beaches, Jaime Pérez.

After the quality audits and environment, are rated as strengths of team involvement beach management, order and cleanliness of each and every one of the beaches of the municipality and environmental information exposed to beach users .

As explained Pérez, auditors have also taken into account that the environmental management system in place is used as effective management tool for continuous improvement and monitoring of the ecological status of major oceanic Posidonia meadows along the coast of present municipality and the Fen of Senillosa (coastal wetland near the beach of l'blistering) are two of the most significant natural ecosystems in the municipality.

Beaches The mayor commented that the implementation of such systems can be applied to current management guidelines beaches of quality and comfort, as well as respect for the conservation of the environment, resulting in the offer to all visitors to the beaches a protected ecosystem with a high natural value and quality services in line with the requirements of those standards.

Teulada-Moraira remains one of the municipalities of the Valencian pioneers in certification of its waterfront. It is recalled that in 2007, the beach of l'Ampolla earned the thematic information and environmental education within the Blue Flag, the recent renewal of Ecoplayas Flag Award 2011 received in the context of the XII Congress held in Lloret Beaches de Mar (Girona), Qualitur and renewal of blue flags at all beaches.
